Cost: $150, includes materials and PPE

This is a 3 hour metal art course that leads you through how to make a metal snowman out of found objects. Participants will be exposed to numerous metal working tools such as a belt sander, hand grinder, and welder.

I will be able to take 6 students, with a minimum of 3 necessary to run the class. I will be in contact to let you know if the class will be able to run 24 hours prior. An option will be given to move to another art class scheduled later in the year or a refund can be issued.

For class we will be reviewing various metal working fundamentals to create the snowman.

What You Will Learn:

-Safety for working with metal/welders/metalworking tools

-Belt Sander

-Hand Grinder

-Wire Wheels

-Vice

-MIG Welders

-How to prep metal

-Design and fabrication of art pieces

-Fit and finish of art pieces

Important:

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early so we can start promptly at the designated time. The exact address will be sent to you via email, please be looking for it.

We will provide safety gear but if you have your own gear feel free to bring it to the class! Due to COVID, if you do have gear I am requesting that you bring it and use it for your time in the class.

Wear work boots, a pair of jeans that you do not mind getting dirty, and a 100% cotton shirt (this is all for your safety and protection, if you are not dressed appropriately you will not be able to participate in the workshop). If you have medium to long hair, bring a hair tie to pull your hair back or already have your hair tied back.
